Zipforce gives existing bikes a new life. Both product development and manufacturing take place in Sweden. For you as a customer, it means a security that we always choose components that meet our high standards and quality and that we can take responsibility for you as a customer and your Zipforce product before, during and after your ownership. We are passionate about smart and creative recycling and want to solve traffic and transportation challenges worldwide while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

IT STARTED WITH A COMMUTING DREAM

Zipforce founder Måns Bengtsson came up with the idea for Zipforce when he got a longer commute to work in 2016. Måns wanted to cycle to and from the bus station but did not want to leave an expensive electric bike at the station because of the risk of theft. Instead, he thought about having a small electric motor that was easy to remove from the bike and easy to carry in his bag.

Four years later there was a finished product, the portable and smart electric bike motor.

In spring 2020, we launched the Zipforce ONE electric motor in Sweden with immediate success. In 2022, two new products were launched, Zipforce Slim and Zipforce Distance. In 2022, the company also began an expansion starting in the EU.

The product is manufactured in Lagan in Småland in Sweden. The company is headquartered in central Stockholm. Zipforce is patented in Sweden and work on an international patent is ongoing. Zipforce is also design protected in the EU and China.

OUR MISSION

There are more than one billion ordinary bicycles worldwide. Zipforce’s mission is to electrify the planet’s existing bicycles in a smart and cost-effective way through creative reuse and transformation into a product of even higher value.

Zipforce will be a smart alternative to a pure electric bike because the user can mount Zipforce on their existing bike and therefore does not need to buy a new electric bike. The electric motor can also be moved between different bikes so that more people in the family can ride electrically.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to give already existing bikes a new life, saving both energy and different types of resources.

Our long-term ambition is to transform more than 250,000 existing bikes into smart and affordable e-bikes in the coming years. The quick-fit electric motor allows anyone who owns a normal bike to convert to an e-bike. Zipforce gives extra momentum to all the conscious people in the world.

THE TEAM AT ZIPFORCE

The team behind Zipforce consists of several people with a broad background in consumer goods, manufacturing, marketing and business scale-up. We are working hard to build Zipforce into a leading retrofit company in the European market.
